AFTERSCHOOL AND LEADERSHIP OFFICER
Citywise Education are interested in hearing from applicants who wish
to apply for the above vacant position. This position is an important
role in the organisation and the successful applicant will report to
the management committee of Citywise Education.
ABOUT CITYWISE EDUCATION:
Citywise Education is a not-for-profit organisation which was set up
to provide educational and social supports to young people in
underserved communities. It currently provides a wide range of
educational and leadership programmes through STEAMSquare, Fast Track
Academy, and through a variety of clubs. Over *
young people regularly use the services of Citywise Education.
THE ROLE:
The Afterschool and Leadership Officer will be responsible for
organising and delivering out-of-school, afterschool programmes, and
summer camps, developing and training young leaders and liaising with
staff for continuous programme improvement.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
* Planning and delivering afterschool programmes during the academic
year.
* Planning and delivering summer/easter camps.
* Working closely with young leaders, volunteers and staff.
* Working with parents/guardians.
* Developing younger leaders and volunteers.
* Attended training & workshops as deemed relevant by management.
* Join in on regular staff meetings and planning sessions.
* Identifying new programmes to complement the work done in the
centre.
* Working closely with schools to ensure good partnerships.
* Responsible for meeting attendance targets as set out by
management.
* Support Citywise fundraising.
* Additional duties assignment by management.
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:
* 3rd level qualification in a relevant area is essential, experience
may be considered in lieu of a recognised qualification.
* Experience of working with young people and in particular young
people from underserved communities.
* Experience in positively engaging with stakeholders within and
outside of an organisation.
* Good planning and organisational skills, with the ability to
prioritise tasks effectively in a dynamic and pressurised environment.
* Capacity to deliver programmes to young people.
* Proven track record of meeting targets and deadlines.

WORKING HOURS: * hours per week excluding
breaks. Citywise opens Monday – Saturday.

relevant experience and qualifications, management will review the
